Text Box: Peter M. Steeves is a self-taught artist with an art career that has spanned over twenty years. His work can be found on exhibit at The Free Artisans Gallery Michigan City IN, The Elmhurst Art Museum Elmhurst IL, The Naperville Fine Art Center Naperville IL and throughout the Chicago land area.   The work merges elements of primitive symbolic, postmodern realism with a bit of a surrealistic twist. He lives on a small hobby farm in Northwest Indiana with his wife, two boys and a menagerie of animals large and small. The driving force behind the art is the fact that it is cheaper than therapy for both the artist and the collectors.
